I have written articles and columns ever since I was a teenager when I edited the high school newspaper and wrote a school news column for my weekly home town newspaper.  While I have written columns for newspapers, my most recent work is as a columnist for the online publishing community, Suite101, where I am a Contributing Editor.  I write on the topic of Crossings & Reflections , about the spiritual journey, about finding the sacred and extraordinary in daily life and as it is reflected in the people and events that cross our paths and as is often mirrored in history, art, literature and other aspects of human culture.

I published an earlier column at Suite101 called The Urban Naturalist that looked at the cultivation and appreciation of Nature in an urban setting.

Recently, I also wrote a weekly column called Out of the Box for an organic foods company.  I moved on to other writing endeavors, but have collected those columns as well below.
